Model for Retailers and Restaurant Groups

We advise and guide retailers, distributors, hotels, and restaurants to integrate the concept of sustainable seafood into their corporate culture. This model has eight key stages

  • A formal agreement is signed between the company and SmartFish AC, establishing the terms of collaboration and ensuring confidentiality of shared information.

  • The company provides us with detailed information about its portfolio of seafood purchases. This data is used to analyze the portfolio’s overall sustainability and plan improvements.

  • We identify potential environmental and social risks within the company’s portfolio, enabling the development of action plans to protect the company’s reputation.

  • The company creates or updates its seafood purchasing policy which includes measurable goals and timelines. The policy is made public.

  • Sustainable or more responsible products are selected based on third-party certifications, traceability, and legality. Close collaboration with suppliers ensures the verified origin of products.

  • Clear information is provided about available products and the actions undertaken to meet sustainable sourcing policy goals.

  • We provide training for company staff and suppliers on sustainability topics, fostering real changes in fishing practices and seafood consumption.

  • Companies are encouraged to incentivize improvements across the entire value chain, ensuring long-term sustainable supply.
